Definition:
1. newspaper or reference piece: a piece of nonfiction writing in a newspaper, magazine, or reference book
an article on ecology
2. item: an object or item, especially one that is part of a group

3. grammar word before noun: a word used with a noun that specifies whether the noun is definite or indefinite. In English the indefinite articles are 'a' and 'an', and the definite article is 'the'.
