I have described in detail what I mean by Parrot Syndrome and Parrot Humanoids. If you have not read it then, I would request you to first read it so that what follows hereafter makes sense.
Hindus have been victim of many frauds
Hindus have been victim of many frauds ever since Christian British landed on our soil. Early day frauds were more of political and religious1 nature. Later day frauds induced an additional element of far-reaching implications ever since Christian Missionaries took over our education2 system. This particular design of fraudulent approach caught fancy of later day Marxist intellectuals/academics and they added new dimensions to those techniques.
Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam Fraud
One such intellectual fraud took place in respect of वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम् and the fraudster had visualized how the Parrot Humanoids will take the bait.
The thought was planted in some educated Hindu minds
The thought was planted in some educated Hindu minds that Hindus preached since time immemorial a very noble thought वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम् of which no equivalent can be found in any social/religious/literary/intellectual dissemination.
Our guys played Pawns in their hands
What more those educated Hindus would have wanted! Here was someone who was speaking for us, praising us. Let us spread the word, tell our fellow beings! And they told some more. Those some told some more. Parrot Syndrome was already in action. Parrot Humanoids were very enthused.
Any praise they would blindly jump at
Such was the low esteem our educated Hindus had developed of themselves. Any praise they would blindly jump at! Christian Missionary educators had made it a point to make the Hindu child look down upon their roots, their culture, their social practices. They were trained to criticize their own religion, social systems and find faults with them. Even today you will find ample examples all around you and within your own self if only you have the perceptive ability to sense these deep-rooted tendencies.
These Parrot Humanoids would even improvise on it!
And our educated Hindus did not stop at that. They themselves improvised on it. They would contribute articles in periodicals, write books and give lectures, and add 'even our वेद Veds speak of वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम्!' Ask them which Ved, where in Ved, and their answer would be 'every one knows'... much like the California Judge said 'every one knows that Hindu religion is responsible for inhuman caste system', or the scientist speaking at Nehru Planetarium said 'Science has proven that Astrology in unscientific' and failing to recite any case study.
Touchstone Test
- So, we need to know the origin of saying वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम्
- The context in which it was stated
- In that context what was actually implied?
And, you will be amazed how educated people spread their ignorance among large inter-section of the Society, constantly misleading the common man in believing exactly opposite of what was implied in original text. And the result? Naturally, same as demonstrated in the original text!
The Test of Common Sense
Common sense should have told the educated brass that something is fishy about the way the concept of वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम् is propagated, and the meaning attached to it as it does not stand the test of common sense. That should have prompted them to examine the issue further rather than assuming the role of another learned parrot humanoid.
As they elevate themselves from the position of common man, they tend to shed off the common sense behind
But then you know what...common sense is the attribute of common man. As the educated ones gradually go up the ladder they tend to shed off some of their common sense behind. Perhaps we can understand their predicament...how can they carry so much load of bookish knowledge along with common sense while climbing steep ladders, even sometimes by stamping someone's feet or climbing on someone else's shoulder to make way for themselves! They got get rid off some weight...so they leave god-gifted common sense and carry man-made bookish knowledge!
Let us proceed with the Touchstone Test
