uncheck the box shown within red rectangular area and it will make your
daily full scans take much less time than it takes otherwise.
This was the advice given to me by Microsoft Support Staff, as a reply to my question, soon after I installed it when Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) was offered free to license holders of Microsoft Genuine Operating System. On implementation, I found that the suggestion truly works, and works well.
One good thing about this anti-virus software is that it does not make my computer sluggish. MSE works silently behind the screen without gimmicks.
